Recently had the privilege of seeing you in concert @ the MN State Fair. Actually went to see Slightly Stoopid, but fell in love with your music.
After reading your bio, I'm wondering how I could get a hold of The Mosaic Project CD you were involved with. I know the kids at the hospital would love it. Thanks so much for the beautiful music - Michelle

Hey man, I am a singer songwriter/ bass player that has been listening to your music for a long time now, for years I've been in bands playing everything from reggae to folk to hip hop and I just wanted to let you know you have really inspired me to keep pushing with my music and to do my part in helping the environment. You and Jason Mraz are the two guys I look up to the most.I hope to one day be able to play with you, thank you so much for the inspiration and music. Let me know if you need a bassist or guitarist one day. haha. -Eli Wolf

Well, here you are a young man with everything before you - your song Crazy is the best I've heard in years and I've sent it to SO many people. Many years ago, I sang with a band (I was 13 in the 1960s) and still mad about music. Thank God we still have talent out there....

Oh my gosh,
Brett I really hope you respond to me. I have this teacher with an illness that caused him to temporarily not teach. It also keeps him out of the sun. Those are his two favorite things that he can't do right now. If there's any way you can send something to me that I could give to him (I don't know his address) it would really mean a lot.
He loves your songs Ain't No Reason(my favorite) and Desert Sunrise. One time when people were fighting in my class he played Ain't No Reason and wow we were speechless. You have such a unique voice and I have a unique teacher. He has very effective teaching methods. He teaches 6th and 7th grade. (I'm going into 8th) Please email me back at monkeychey23@yahoo.com my address is 3225 woodland dr edgewater,fl 32141 (usa)
Thank You

My wife and I love your music, we saw Brett on the Late Late show with Craig Ferguson...LOVED IT! We were just wondering how tall are you Brett? Nothing to personal I hope, but just curious.
Thanks and keep on Rockin! By the way I seen that you have played with Taj Mahal, they have performed at our two day Jazz Fest held here in Sioux Falls, SD. It's free and it's fun, and you would fit right in. Let me know if you have interest, I can put you in touch with the right person.
PEACE!

So this could be seen as ridiculous but you are the man. My fiancee and I love your music and appreciate your person. We named our cool ass cat after you We have seen you twice in Tucson, Az-thanks for coming and thanks for playing billie jean. your originals are better but i love the way you play that song-hope no offense was taken. We also saw you in telluride in 2008-amazing!!! Wondered if we ever choose a wedding date if you would be willing to play I'm not a rich man so money is laughable but we would make sure you and yours had a great time. Call this my shot in the dark. Either way you and the band are doing something that most don't and we appreciate that-thanks for that. my name is Tim and my bella"s name is Brittania. Thanks for even having a site where i can ask this. if ever you need a place to crash in Tucson let us know. you now have my email and here is my number if ever you want to kick it in Tucson. Thanks again

Hi Brett, Congratulations on your album and your success! Your music is really impressive. I stumbled upon you and your .net website by accident, but I had to investigate because our last names are spelled the exact same - I don't know anyone but my immediate relavtives with that name. What is your family history, if you don't mind me asking? I hope to hear from you.

I am a political consultant in Texas. I love to write; I think that you are one of the most impressive writers I have encountered. You words are moving, and your cadence and story telling are without doubt skills that can only be inate. I wish you the best of luck! You have an amazing soul with an ability to project and inspire. November 27, 2008
Hi, I just wanted to offer my little comment in respect for you. My name is Mitch, and I live in a rural town in Texas. I first heard your music on an episode of "House M.D." and I loved the song. I read up on your music and found some of the popular ones on YouTube. Bought the albums and have been listening to them ever since. And I have to say, that I have yet to encounter another artist who's words have had such an impact. Never stop making music that has the sound and message you give, it's unique and powerful. That and your work with the Mosiac Project is also something to commend and find respect for. Good luck sir, and know that there are those out there who support the way you think.

I live in Kansas City but I went to Milwaukee's Summerfest to see BRETT DENNEN. Consequently, I ended up enjoying John Mayer as well...(as oppose to the other way around!) Brett was AWESOME! What a talent!! Of my top ten favorite songs right now, 3 slots go to Brett Dennen! As I looked around the crowd at Milwaukee's Summerfest, I decided to the claim the title as Brett's #1 African-American fan!! :) And the DRUMMER in the band ... WHEW! The best I've seen in a while! Thanks for a great show!!

brett,
your music is amazing. the way you turn a surrealistic phrase moves me. i am a glass artist who is very moved by words and art. the spirit you evoke is quite deep. i also rent rooms to artists and musicians in seattle. the creative vibe is so essential. if you ever find yourself in seattle with a little free time we would love to feel your energy around our fire pit and drum circle!

Wow, I could write a whole song off of a single phrase out of any of yours. The songs are jam packed with meaningful words and all of the songs seem to be sung with so much heart. Plus you have this guestbook, which is awesome by the way. Guess I've got a lot to learn about lyrics huh? Well, just sayin I like your style and a lot of folks here in Montana do too. Can't wait to hear more.

Went to see YOU at Bristol last night (27/5) and was sore dissappointed that the crowd talked all through your set of 5 songs. However I had this wonderful feeling that there was a core of us there that were loving it, 'cos we KNEW how brilliant you are, and our hearts were bouncing! Come to Stroud, Glos if you can, because we've turned the whole town on to you and you wouldn't be sore disappointed.... NO CHANCE!! Love has come set us free.

When will you begin to sell your new tshirts online? I bought the blue one at the May 9th concert in Burlington Vermont and I want the yellow one too but could not buy it that night. Also, is Brett working on a new album? I can not wait to hear what his next cd is like. He is an amazing artist. So young and so much time ahead of him. Hey Brett!
Austin Wilhoit told me about your site. He was watching T.V. and the Hilton Hotel commercial came on; he said he recognized the voice but couldn't put his finger on it until the credit came up.
Anyways I listened to some of your latest album on itunes--it's pretty cool.
Well, just wanted to congradulate you on all your success. You were in the Modesto Bee this past week...I showed the pick to my wife Nicole. She remembered you as the tall red-headed guy from the "Y"

I just want to thank you for being such a pure channel for Spirit to move through. Your music inpires me to be more alive and to dig deeper to connect to my own source of creativity. I'm also grateful for the emotional releases your music has allowed--for at times, when I've been overtaken with negative emotion, I put your music on the headphones to create an intimate space, and due to its high vibrational quality it cleanses me anew...brings the tears or whatever needs to be released and reconnects me to my own essence. Words also often lead me astray, but I hope these words of gratitude enter your beautiful heart to inspire it to continue to flower and shed its glorious petals on all those souls willing to open up to the depths of its fruits. Bless you brother. And please, come to Minnesota, or the midwest. Perhaps we can trade licks or simply share tea. Love and blessings.
